Woof Privacy Policy
The short version: Woof is a private diary. What you write in it stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We never see it. We do not collect anything about you.
What Woof stores
Woof stores only what you put into it:
- dog names, breeds and the price you charge for each dog
- for each groom: the date, the comb and blade sizes you used, your Face and Notes text, the price for that day, and up to three photos
- your app preferences: language, appearance, sort order, and which comb and blade sizes appear in the editor
Where it lives
- On your iPhone, in Woof's own storage.
- In your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit), when your iPhone is signed in to iCloud. This is what brings the diary back on a new or replaced phone. It is stored under your own Apple Account, in your iCloud storage, and it is protected by Apple's iCloud security.
The developer has no access to your private iCloud database. There is no Woof server, no Woof account, and no copy of your diary anywhere we can reach. If you delete Woof and its iCloud data, it is gone for us as much as for you.
Apple's handling of iCloud is governed by Apple's own privacy policy, not this one.
What Woof does not do
- No analytics or usage tracking. Woof does not measure what you tap or how often you open it.
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for or sign in to.
- No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking.
- No third-party SDKs. Woof contains only Apple frameworks and its own code.
- No sale or sharing of data, because there is no data to sell or share.
- No network requests other than iCloud sync between your device and your own iCloud.
Camera and photo library
Woof asks for camera access only when you tap Take Photo, and photo library access only when you tap Choose from Library. The photo you take or choose is stored in the diary. Woof does not add photos to your photo library and does not change it. You can withdraw either permission at any time in iPhone Settings; the rest of the app keeps working.
Send feedback
Settings → Send feedback opens an email in your own mail app, addressed to feedback@w00f.app. You write it, you read it, you send it. Woof does not store or transmit the note itself.
The email body contains your note plus a short, visible block so we can act on it: the Woof version and build, the iOS version and iPhone model, the language you use Woof in, and whether iCloud backup was on or off. Nothing else — no dog names, notes or photos. Because it is an email, we receive your email address with it; we use it only to reply.
Children
Woof is a tool for working groomers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If Woof ever starts to collect or transmit anything beyond what is described here, this policy will be updated first and the effective date at the top will change. The current version always lives at https://w00f.app/privacy.
